Morning of Surprises

Ryan leaves for school on Mondays around 8:30. He kissed me goodbye, like always, and I went back to sleep. I woke up this morning around 9:30 when Kamryn needed to be fed. I came out to the front room with her and I could see a bunch of food preparation things on the table and sticky notes on them. I couldn't get close enough to read them with a crying baby in my arms and no contacts or glasses on, so I went across the room and fed Kamryn (quickly)! :) When she was satisfied, I hurried to put in my contacts and went out to the table. Ryan had left me a "breakfast menu". Cereal or waffles. The waffle mix and water and oil were all measured out and there was an empty bowl and wisk sitting there. The waffle iron was also out with instructions on how to make the waffles if I wanted them! There was a plate and fork and glass out. The glass had instructions to get OJ from the fridge! :) It was very cute! So I made waffles and they tasted great! After I finished eating--I went to do my dishes and there was another sticky note that said, "I'll take care of dishes!" What a wonderful guy I married! :)

Meanwhile -- Kamryn was playing in her bouncer while I was eating. I turned around a couple times to talk to her. She was just sitting there, nonchalant, happy... I got on the floor after I was done eating and said, "Can I hold you?!" I went to hold her and found she had a "surprise" for me too---
the biggest messiest diaper we have had thus far!

It went through the diaper, through the nightgown, through her blanket and partly on the bouncer!! I couldn't believe it! Mess all the way up her back to her shoulders---and she hadn't been crying while sitting in it?! ew!

A not so sweet surprise for mama baby! Learn how to surprise mom like Daddy does! :)

Kamryn's 2 month check up

Kamryn went to the doctor again today and we are glad to report she is healthy and right on track! :)

Weight: 11 lbs. 13 oz. (Went from the 30th percentile to the 80th percentile!) :)
Height: 22.25 inches (Went from the 60th percentil to the 45th percentile. Not surprised since Ryan and I are not really known for our "tall" genes! :)

She's gotten so big in just 2 months! It's amazing!
The doctor and nurses were impressed with her big tummy--cuz that means she's eating enough! :) (I wasn't worried about that!!) :)

She is now holding her head up really well by herself. She LOVES to look around at everything! Lights are still a favorite thing to look at!

She is our little smiley girl--smiling at anything and everything.

We bought her a little bathtub the other day and she absolutely loves it! We caught a funny video of her in it! :) she loves splashing already!

It is so much fun to be parents! We just can't love her enough! :)

Golden Birthday

Yesterday was September 22nd and I turned

My Golden Birthday! :)

And it truly was golden because not only did I have a wonderful "birth-day"...but a wonderful "birth-weekend"!! :)

Friday morning Kels and I went to get a pedicure! My feet needed some serious work--- and although we got totally ripped off with how much they charged us, and we're never going there again--- it was so so fun and I have pretty toes now! :)

Friday afternoon Ryan, Kamryn and I went to the Brick Oven for lunch. It was SO yummy! Just my kind of place--pizza, pasta, garlic bread!! mmmmm! Then we headed up to my parents' house. We played cards with family for a bit and then my mom took Kamryn for the night and Ryan and I stayed at hotel Meaux! (My parents' house still but we had a night to ourselves!) :) In our room Ryan surprised me--- 22 Pink roses in a vase and rose petals sprinkled on the bed! :) I love surprises and I love roses ... he knows me so well! :) He also gave me a Kohls gift card--I don't get out to shop much lately! :)

My 22 roses---sadly they're now starting to droop but they stood strong and tall all weekend!

Saturday we spent the day at my parents' and just relaxed. Mom and dad took us to dinner at Red Lobster that night. (Ryan and I had both never been! We loved it!) Sunday we relaxed and took the day for ourselves.

Monday--my actual bday--I woke up and ryan had 2 candles for me! they smell so yummy! :) Then he had to go to school for the day :( so I was home with the baby. Recently I've been anxious for Kamryn to start fitting in some of the many cute clothes we got at the baby showers--so I tried an outfit on her yesterday morning and it fit! (well, not perfectly but good enough!) She was so cute! I couldn't get over it all day! :) she was my bday gift to me! :)

Can you believe how big she is already??!! :) and so smiley now! :)

I had to go get my drivers' lisence renewed yesterday--not a thrilling bday activity but what can you do??! :) Then my mom called me up and said she'd go to the disney store with me if I had time right now! (I've been wanting to go for a long time now---just haven't gotten there yet!) :) For my bday she began my disney figurine collection! :)

Princesses! and Beauty and the Beast (since that's my favorite movie!) :)

Then mom and I went out to lunch--and as we were eating mom realized that both my actual bday and my golden bday fell on Mondays! :) how cool is that??! :)

Then last night Kels watched Kamryn for a little bit and Ry and I went on a date! we went to costa vida (which I love!) and Smart cookie for dessert! :) yum! Then we came home and played some DDR on the Wii!

after we brought Kamryn home, we were all exhausted!

And today I went out to lunch with one of my very good high school friends, Nancy and her little 9-month old. It was so fun because we don't play often!

Like I said--I had a very spoiled weekend! But it was so fun to spend it with so many different people! :)

Now onto real life again! :) :( :)

Cute Baby!

Kamryn fell asleep while eating this afternoon and I finally put her down in her bouncer because my arms were aching!

I went in the other room to get something to eat and when I walked by our bedroom door I heard her squirming a little bit. Then she stopped. I decided to go in and check on her and she had fallen to the side and was laying kinda sideways in the bouncer! :) But was still sound asleep! Kinda cute!

I set her upright again...and THEN thought I should've taken a picture!!! (dang!!) :)

Here she is upright though...so precious!

Family Pictures

Ever since Kamryn was born I've been a little obsessive about wanting to get some good pictures of our little family! She'll never be this small again!! :)

Here are the ones we have so far...

At the hospital--day one! :) Significant but I don't look all that great! Ryan and Kamryn do though... hmm... I'm definitely motivated to get another one done soon!

One Week old--first time to Grandparents' houses. I was exhausted that night and kinda emotional---but we'd been dying to get a picture taken so we did it anyway when there was someone else around to take the picture! Again--I'm motivated to take another one!

Went to Grandma and Papa's (Great grandparents) house at the end of August--Kamryn was one month old. I wanted to do it outside in their beautiful yard with the flowers and everything--but wasn't able to do it till the last day we were there because it kept raining and being cold. Even when we finally did it, Kamryn didn't enjoy it very much cuz it was cold! but they turned out alright! :)

I'm still trying to do more! :)

Broken Dish

I broke my first dish since we were married today! :(

But alas, I was unloading the dishwasher, stuck a mug up in the cupboard and then turned to get another dish and I hear a crash behind me! The mug had fallen onto one of the pink and white bowls we got when we were married. Sad!!

I guess it was my turn! (Ryan has broken a few already--he was happy to hear I had a turn!!) :)

Blessing Day

Yesterday our little girl was blessed in our church.
It was a wonderful experience!

Kamryn wore my sister Kylie's blessing dress (which was made by "aunt" Robin). It looked really pretty still after 17 years! :) The blessing was at 8:30 in the morning in Orem, UT.

So many friends and family came! We are so blessed to have so much support around (and afar...we were sad for the rest of you who couldn't make it!) There were 3 babies blessed in our ward yesterday and ours was definitely the biggest circle. I don't say that to be boastful at all but to just recognize that we really are lucky to have a lot of both of our families living in the valley. I think there were 13 men in the circle. Ryan, My dad, Ryan's dad, my brother Eric, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Jerry, Uncle Craig, "Uncle" Jeff, Cousin Matt, Cousin Chris, Cousin Daniel, Scott Perkins, Jonathan Prasad and our Bishop. So fourteen! Wow! What a wonderful blessing it is to know and be loved by so many who are worthy to hold the priesthood.

Just wanted to share some pictures and let you all who weren't able to come, enjoy the day with us as well! I am so grateful for my little new family! It is so fun to have all of these new experiences!
