Kamryn's newest development!

Ryan and I were sitting here on the couch tonight and we looked up and saw Kamryn smiling at us on her tummy....about 2 feet away from where we had put her on her blanket!

She was scooting BACKWARDS! Pushing with her arms and scooting and scooting until there was no more room to go! :)

She is going to figure out crawling next week!! Ah! Babyproofing time! :)

My Wonderful Husband

So I've seen this tag going around a little bit and I thought I'd do it even though I wasn't specifically tagged because I think it is VERY cute! :)

1.Where did you meet your husband? In Jr. High--9th grade--orchestra! Ryan had just moved to Utah that year from Pennsylvania. Although he had been here from the beginning of the school year, I don't remember really talking to him before Valentine's day that year! :)
2.How long did you date before you got married? Well.... Friends and dating in high school ... about 6 years, after I turned 16- 4 years (on and off), and then 6 months after his mission. (4 of that was engagement). :)
3. How long have you been married? almost 20 months! Wow! :)
4. What does he do that surprises you? Umm... I don't know. It changes all of the time! :) It surprises me how many new ideas he can come up with for businesses and products and ways to make things easier. It surprises me how much he can tune me out sometimes but then can be totally sensitive to my needs in the same day! It surprises me how well he takes care of Kamryn while I'm at school. I knew he'd be a good dad--but he goes above and beyond everything I expect!
5. What is your favorite feature of his? Ryan's dimples! I've always loved the dimples! :)
6. What is his best quality? He is passionate about everything he does...sometimes to the extreme! :) But it truly helps him to prioritize and to love what he does. I think another great quality in him is that he can take risks, but he is not irresponsible at all.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? Trina or Trin. He has always called me Trina...which is weird because NOBODY at school ever did that but him. Trina was always the family nickname...but Ryan did it in High school so...I guess it was just meant to be! :)

8. What is his favorite food? Ryan's favorite food...oooo...that's tough. Favorite homemade meal is Fajitas(his mom's way!) :) --which is good cuz I don't know any other way! :) Favorite resaurant is Wingers. Favorite food overall?? I don't know...it changes! Depends on what we have frequently over a period of time! (He's not one to change daily but more like every 3 months!) :)
9. What is his favorite sport? BYU FOOTBALL! When he was little his parents would ask him "Who's your favorite football team?!" and he'd answer "B-Y-U!"
10. When and where did you first kiss? At Lone Peak High school on April 28, 2001. A Saturday after an orchestra competition down in Orem. I believe that was the one and only time we kissed in 9th grade, however! :)
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? My favorite thing to do together is go out to eat or curl up and watch a good movie. Ryan's favorite thing to do together is really anything--but he especially enjoys when we can do something together on the computer (like photoshop or Sudoku, etc.)
12. Do you have any children? Yes one little beautiful 7 month old girl, Kamryn.
13.Does he have any hidden talents? Yes. He can...
14. How old is he?23
15. Who said 'I love you' first? Oh I don't even remember that! Sad! :) I'm not sure. I wonder if he remembers! :) I just know that we've always said "Love you" before the end of some sort of communication. At the end of emails (in 9th grade and now!) , at the end of phone calls, and even after his mission when we were dating over the phone (I was in Logan he was in Provo) it was always "Love you, Bye" before we hung up. I remember I was on vacation in Florida the first time we started that up again after the mission. (about a week after he got home?!) :) I was excited because it felt like normal again. No 2 year gap or weirdness anymore! :)
16. What is his favorite music? He likes a variety of stuff. He'll even listen to country for me! :) I think his "favorite" is always when he hears something he knew in high school or something that reminds him of high school.
17. What do you admire most about him? I admire his love for life. He always tries to find something to be optimistic about and tries to do the best with everything he does. He always has good intentions and tries to boost people around him that he loves.
18. What is his favorite color? Red and Orange. (My two LEAST favorite colors but that's okay. I still love him!) :)
19. Will he read this? Yes I'm sure he will! I hope he does cuz I love him!! :)
20. Who will I tag next? umm... Nicole, Angela, and Mom!

Kamryn Rolling

My mom was disappointed that I didn't have a video of her rolling in my last post, so here you go! :) (I just don't try to do videos much anymore because they take SO long to upload onto blogger)
This is worth it though! :)

Who knew a diaper was motivation! :)

Kamryn FINALLY rolled over all on her own today!! Yahoo!! :)

I was at school, unfortunately, but Ryan got to see her do it! We've been working on it for SO long but she finally rolled from her back to her tummy while reaching for.... a dirty diaper!! :) haha! We're not sure why she was motivated by THAT...but whatever works I guess! We have one "beautiful little weirdo"! :)

But at least it isn't the ONLY motivation because she has been rolling more this afternoon for toys as well! :)

Cute recent pictures of our little girl:

All dressed up for church! :) (I love this hat! A friend of ours made it for her before she was born!)

Where's Kamryn!?!!!
There you are!! :)Not so happy naked but we loved it! :) So cute! :)

Having fun in the high chair and Grammie's house!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

I just wanted to brag a little bit about my lovey-dovey week (as Dr. Laura would call it!! :) haha I'm old...I listen to Dr. Laura! I remember when I used to give my mom a hard time for listening to her!) :)

Anyway,
Monday--I was, like every Monday morning, dragging my feet and not really wanting to go to school. But I went anyway. Ryan had classes that morning so I took Kamryn to my friend Nancy's house on my way to school. School was okay. I love the kids and I love the people I work with, but it is a lot of work and it wears me out! But I was in a somewhat better mood when the day was over and I was ready to go home. When I walked in the door---this is what I saw!

(PICTURES COMING LATER AS SOON AS I CAN DOWNLOAD FROM MY CAMERA...) :)

Clean and spotless apartment!

Dishes done!

Laundry put away!

Bathroom was even clean!!!

I was stunned! What a wonderful man I have!

And to top it all off--A pretty little arrangement of little baby-size roses (already in the vase! I love getting flowers, but I don't really like unwrapping them and putting them in water. Not sure why exactly...maybe it's cuz I can't arrange them as nice in the vase, or maybe because I don't like to mess up the first professional presentation, or...maybe I'm just lazy!! :) haha)

BUT if that wasn't enough: On Tuesday Ryan offered to drive me to school and then come get me later (1/2 hour each way) just so that some of my preschoolers could meet Kamryn and also so I could show him where I go every single day--ALL day long! I thought this was very thoughtful of him because it is very out of the way and there are other things he can be doing with his time! But he knew I had wanted him to do it sometime, so he offered today! What a sweetie!!

Then on Thursday he had some big plan to take me out for Valentine's day (I had told him ahead of time how much I didn't want to go out actually ON Valentine's day because I hate all the crowds and waiting around) BUT unfortunately I got sick the night before and even stayed home from school that day. :( So we didn't end up going out...but he was so supportive and optimistic anyway! He has been so helpful and understanding this week as I've been kinda sick and stressed with everything in life! I told him that night I was sorry I ruined his plans, and he said "You didn't ruin anything...just postponed the fun we were going to have! And we don't mind having fun later, right?!!" :)

I love him!

Then if that wasn't enough, today he actually gave me a gift. He made a wonderful card for me with photoshop (see below) and gave me a paper in an envelope that said he got me

"A rich 3-inch layer of eco-friendly, patented NutraTemp™ Memory Foam adds more luxury to your bed in just seconds. This revolutionary Memory Foam is designed to provide enhanced responsiveness and unsurpassed comfort that keeps you sleeping at a comfortable temperature all night long."

He wanted to get me something that would help me sleep better and he knows how much I love to just sink into piles and piles of pillows and blankets, and he heard from multiple people that this Foam mattress pad is amazing! I'm so excited! I can't wait for it to get here!! :)

It has been a wonderful Valentine's Day (week!) because I have the most wonderful boyfriend and husband! I love it when he is as creative as he was when we were in high school. I am so lucky to have found someone like him that I can keep as mine forever and always!

I leave every day around 8, get home at 3:30 and then often I am doing homework until 8. . .Like today! I still have more to do...but it's not for tomorrow so I need to give my brain a break! But I need to take a break with my baby...not blogging on the computer! haha :)

So, we love you all! Keep blogging....I'll get to read and comment sometime soon! :)
