Kelsey!

My sister, Kelsey, has applied for the BYU nursing program THREE times now and she found out yesterday that she FINALLY made it in!!! YAY! We have all been just baffled as to why it took so long for her to get in because she is a GREAT student, she's been a CNA for 3 years and working on the job full time, and now works at the 3 IHC hospitals between AF and Provo!
We're so proud of her!

(This isn't the greatest picture but it was right after she found out and was calling Dad on the phone!)

Anniversaries, Pedicures, work!

So last week I posted about it being our 11-month anniversary and that day Ryan came home from work and asked "Do you want a useful or not useful gift first?!" I was somewhat confused--but said "Not useful, I guess." He then presented me with a small stemmed pink rose! I was very excited. It smelled so yummy and was just very unexpected! Then I asked what he would've done if I said I wanted something useful--he then brought out another deck of Killer Bunnies! (One of our favorite card games right now). Not really my idea of "useful" but I guess we still have the game and the flower already died...so in a way he was right! :)
I have such a wonderful husband, who just takes care of me whenever I need it! He is going to be a wonderful daddy! I can't wait! :)

Ryan has been very busy working as a consultant this summer. He is building a website database for the company he worked for last summer and he is finding that he is LOVING it! Graphic designing and web page creations are his passions lately. And our living room has turned into an office as well! (With two monitors and everything!) He is actually getting very good at photoshop, and it's fun to see the different things he has created already! hopefully after he learns it, he'll teach me more and more so I can get digital scrapbooking going! :)

Our apartment complex is wonderful! We love it here. It is a wonderful ward and I love working in the office for the complex. It is a fun and uplifting environment. One of the amenities we get by living here is a free manicure, pedicure, or haircut every month! I realized last week, that we have lived here for almost 2 months now and I have not taken advantage of this amenity at all yet!! So, today I got a pedicure! It was so fun --- and it was free! :) Even better.

It's comforting to know my feet can feel "fancy and pretty" while the rest of me only fits into 5 outfits anymore! :)

Doctor's Visits

This week we had another enjoyable doctor's appointment. (Can that sentence be true?!) :) jk

It actually went well and I'm glad to report all is well with the baby. She is actively kicking all the time now--making me somewhat sore--but it's all worth it to me so that I know that she is alive and well in there. As they were measuring me and her, the doctor told us we are going to have a larger than average sized baby! Average in America is about 7 lbs 3 oz or so (as I've been told) so we'll see. My first two thoughts were: 1) well then, maybe she could come earlier!! (but the doctor turned that one down really fast! Weight apparently doesn't have much to do with how fast my body is ready for labor. Dang!) and 2) That doesn't sound very comfortable. I'm a small person and even a small baby won't have much room in me! What a fun 2 months I have to look forward to until she comes! :)

But even with this news, we are happy because she is healthy and we are just excitedly waiting for her to be ready to come!
