The Wheels on the car go round and round...

Kyler in the car is sleeping...sleeping...sleeping...
Kamryn---got in the car and threw up within 10 minutes.  But after that, she was perfect!  What a great little toddler I have!
Playing with stickers
Eric and Sara watched Avatar for 2 days straight!!!  Whatever keeps us all entertained and happy, right?! :)
Good sports to sit with squishy carseats! :)
Kamryn found some flowers and picked them at one of our rest stops!  What a sweetie!
Kyler awake and happy---and yes---still in the car!!
Watching movies--our favorite one this trip has been Princess Sing-Alongs! :)

And after 30 hours of driving and driving and driving, we made it to Ohio!

Kyler official Birth Announcement

I finally got around to creating Kyler's announcement. (I was really waiting for pictures but also had a hard time finding time!)  I love it!

Family Pictures

Even before Kyler was born, I knew I really wanted to go take some newborn and family pictures after he came.  In November, we took pictures with Ryan's family.  A lady in their ward took them and did a FABULOUS job! And she has a great price for them too!  So...I contacted her and we set up a date to do them right after Kyler was born.  So--Kyler was a week old when these were taken!  It was a little stressful but I was so grateful for an easy-going photographer and so grateful my sister and brother in law and mom could come help entertain the kids.  The only thing I regret from the photo shoot was Kamryn was a stinker and wouldn't hold Kyler.  This is the ONE TIME I can even think of her NOT wanting to hold him!  Every other day she has wanted to!  lol  I guess that's just how it goes!  Lucky me!  So, the picture of the two of them below--that's the ONLY one we got with just the two of them!  haha  :)  oh well!  I have plenty of candids!

Anyway, check out these AWESOME pictures!  These are just a few of them--there are so many!

Then check out Lisa's blog to see other things she does. (Click here)!  (I'm not just saying that either to give her credit.  She deserves it!)

Enjoy!

Play Dates!

We have been getting together often in the past few weeks with my friend, Nancy, and her 2 girls.  It has been really fun to have playmates around! Most of the time we just "hang out" and let the kids play. But we did go to the aquarium one day and went to the library one day and went to Nancy's parents' house one day.  It's been great to get together so much!  (sometimes it's just nice to have a change of scenery from your own everyday house!) :)
Fun pictures of our play dates:
 Kamryn and Cassie

The babies! (Kyler and Addy)
Addy is 4 months older than Kyler
Cassie "helping" the babies play with toys!

The library was especially fun because Kamryn had never been before.  She enjoyed running around in the children's section with other kids, loved to pull out books and sit down to read for about 5 seconds, then get up again and run some more!  It was a little crazy for Nancy and I -- each with a baby and a toddler--but it was very fun!  Hopefully we'll try to go to a Toddler story time sometime soon!  (I was going to go last Thursday, but had a hard night with Kyler, so it didn't work out very well! Dang!)

Big sister---Little brother

I thought I'd do a quick post about the 2 kids---using the pictures I have from the past month of them together.  Overall, Kamryn loves Kyler!  She is concerned when he cries, she wants to help put the binkie in, she'll point to him when you say "baby" or "Kyler", and she likes to be around him.  I have seen her a couple times be a little "jealous" that we cater to him every time he cries (so she starts to fake cry every once in a while) but for the most part--they get along GREAT!  It is so fun to see her be his "second mom"!
Diapered kids!
(Kamryn was not so thrilled about laying next to Kyler--who was crying!) :)

but when she is dressed and holding him (sitting upright) she's happy! :)
We were playing with the baby toys I got out from storage.  I put some foot rattles on Kyler (who is obviously still a little too small for them) so Kamryn had to put the other pair on HER feet (who is obviously a little too BIG for them!)!  It was too funny!

We've given Kyler a few baths now (hope so, right?!) but Kamryn hasn't ever been present.  Until last week.  She was SO excited about it--we let her help...and then she was SO upset when we told her that it was Mama's turn and she had to wait to the side with Daddy!  Like I said: Second Mom!

I love my kids!  Can't stand how cute they are with eachother!
(and it's only going to get better as Kyler can interact back with Kamryn)

Happy Mother's Day!

Ryan brought home these gorgeous purple flowers for me for Mother's day!  (however, they only lasted about a day...so we got a refund for them from Costco!  Gotta love Costco!)

Ryan also gave me a couple of cards "from the kids" earlier last week ...on those "tough and tired" days that come with a newborn.  It was very cute and sweet!
AND if that wasn't enough, he surprised me with some body wash from Bath and Body Works (LOVE IT!) and let me sleep in Sunday morning!  What a great guy I have!

On Mother's Day we went to church for all 3 hours for the first time with 2 kids.  It actually went pretty well!  Kyler slept most of the time and Kamryn spent the time in nursery by herself (most of it at least!)! :)  After church, Ryan picked up Kamryn from nursery and they met me in Relief Society.  Kamryn had made me a paper lei for Mother's day.  It was so cute!  My first Mother's Day gift from my kids!

We got to see both Ryan's and my mom on Mother's Day as well!  It is such a blessing to live close to both families right now.  It probably won't always be the case, but for now, it is a definite blessing I am grateful for!  They are such good examples to us and it's so fun for my kids to get to know and spend time with their Grandparents!  We gave each of them a flower (from the kids) and a framed family picture (from the parents)! :)

(sorry they aren't the greatest pictures...Kamryn is REALLY HARD TO HOLD for a picture!!) :)  But you get the idea! :)

Happy Mother's Day!
