Merry Christmas (Early)!

Because Ryan, Kamryn and I will be spending Christmas in Cali with my family this year, we decided to do a Christmas celebration with Ryan's family after we get back. However...there were a couple things his mom had for us that she wanted to send with us on our vacation.

Kamryn got some cute Christmas Jammies. We immediately put them on her and she was SO cute! :) Gotta love Grammas spoiling grandkids! :)





Ryan's parents gave Ryan and I an Ipod touch to share! We love it! We're so excited about it! (It's kinda been running our lives for the past week!) :) haha



For Ryan's Bday/Christmas, I decided to surprise Ryan and take him to see the lights on Temple Square and then I made reservations for dinner at The Roof. It is an elegant (expensive) YUMMY restaurant in SLC. We went there a few times for special occassions in high school, but the last time we were there was almost 3 years ago (in March) when he proposed to me! It was a wonderful night... except that I forgot my camera!!! :( (boo hoo! You understand, all you prominent bloggers!!) :) Anyway, we had Kelsey and Zac take a picture of us by our own tree when we got home!

Yay for babies!

So, my best friend in high school is expecting her second child (another girl!) at the beginning of January. BUT she texted me this morning and said that her water broke and the baby is coming! :) (She has been an at-risk pregnancy and has been on bedrest for the last couple weeks, so it was pretty much expected for her to come early!) I'm so excited! I am SO SO baby hungry...I think I'll die before April can come!

Also, my cousin and his wife are expecting twins (a boy and a girl) (also in January) but she has also been seeing a specialist and he has scheduled a C-section with her for tomorrow. Hopefully the babies' lungs will be ready for the doctor to take them. My cousin(in-law) is SO miserable! I would be too if I was 8 months pregnant with twins! (FIRST pregnancy!! Yikes!) :)

Yay for Babies!! :) (If I get permission from both families, I'll post pictures when they are here!)

Pregnancy Blues...

The last couple of days have been rough. Not rough like ""I have too much to do" or "bad things have happened." Just rough because my hormones are all out of wack!

Wednesday I was productive, almost hyper, and giddy all afternoon and night. I could barely go to sleep because I just was so "wired"! But then, I guess, with every up you must come down.
And when you're pregnant...you come WAY down! (or at least I do!) Yesterday was one of those days where I felt like everything was fine...but then found myself snapping at people unexpectedly and becoming easily irritated by little things that should NOT have been a big deal at all. I felt overwhelmed by everything around me--even to the point of feeling claustrophobic. (which wasn't great when people wanted to hug me and comfort me... ) I found myself wanting to burst into tears at the tiniest frustrations. And of course, had to cry myself to sleep last night.

Poor Ryan... I know he hates to see me cry. Sometimes I just can't help it though! (He knew what he was getting into when we were in high school though! I often couldn't finish a math test without crying on his shoulder! lol)

Today has been better...however I don't feel completely "up" again yet. I have been able to be productive and get dishes, laundry, and wrapping some gifts done. However, I have no motivation to do anything fun like blog, scrapbook, go out, etc.

But despite all of this, I need to remember:
I am grateful to be pregnant. Grateful to have Kamryn. Grateful for a husband who is understanding and flexible and forgiving. Grateful for this Christmas season where I can have multiple opportunities to think of others and not just myself and my aches and pains. I'm grateful for Jesus Christ, who knows every feeling I am feeling, even when my hormones are so up and down!

So no matter how blue I get during and after this pregnancy...everything will be alright!

Kamryn's Blog

Kamryn has a blog again that I'm going to try to be better at posting on. I'm hoping it will be a place she can have some memories of her "babyhood" as well as maybe pick up on the "blogging" someday when she is older! I gave it up for about a year...but I think I have some fun ideas to put into it again...so here's a shot!

Mommy at 20 weeks

I Finally took some "belly pictures" for this pregnancy.

I feel like this baby is being carried much lower than where Kamryn sat in me. I wanted to see if I could SEE a difference...but the first picture I have of me last time full-on is at 26 weeks. But even with the difference in time, you can see a difference...can't you?! :)



Now... names... :) (We were talking tonight...can't find a boy name we both LOVE!!) :) Good thing we still have a few months to decide!

Thanks to all our family and friends who participated in the poll of our little one's gender! I guess there is something to be said for "mother's intuition"! :) April 20th is still his due date! We are so excited for this little guy! Now...what to name him... ????
(Boy names are more difficult for Ryan and I to agree on!)
