Baby news!

So I didn't blog about this last week...kinda forgot! It's been crazy around here! :) But I thought I'd just inform you all on the status of Kamryn.

We went to the Doctor last Wednesday and everything is good just as it has been all pregnancy. (Thank goodness). And in fact, because she is so big and I am so small, and I've been contracting already, my doctor is thinking that he would be okay to talk about inducing me 5 or 6 days before the actual due date. (So, like the 28th-29th...somewhere in there!) :) Needless to say, Ryan and I left the office just glowing! We are so incredibly anxious to have this little one in our home! So much baby stuff around our house already--now we just need the baby! :)

We have another appointment tomorrow morning (the 22nd) so we'll see if I've progressed at all in the past week and see if inducing labor is still on for next week! Hard to believe it's already here--BUT I don't think we would be able last much longer if we had to! :)

Yay for Baby Showers! :)

My mother in law threw me a wonderful baby shower last Saturday! It was so fun and so incredibly cute! Princess theme all around! We played a couple of classic baby shower games and then even a Disney character trivia game! We were all having so much fun and it was very very busy, that we didn't get tons of great pictures but some of them turned out alright! I HAD to do a post about it all because it was just too cute! She definitely went above and beyond for me!

The fun (and very yummy) princess cake for Kamryn!
I was truly spoiled and showered with gifts. It really is a blessing to have so many family and friends around who are there to support and help us during this blessed time of life.

This was my favorite part! My mother in law and sister in law saw an example of a diaper castle (instead of a cake) online and decided to make one for me! It is SO cool! (I just wish I had a picture of them WITH it!!)

Happy birthday Aunt Tami!

I just remembered this morning that it is Aunt Tami's B-day today--she's 29 today! :)

Since she is the most consistent and avid blogger I know, I thought it would be appropriate to blog something for her today! :)

It has been SO much fun to see her around this summer! I think all the family would agree! When she is around, she helps everyone around her feel important. She uplifts those around her by smiling all of the time and being observant of small things around her. She has the light of Christ that shines through her actions and her words. We all love her and miss her when she is in China but are so happy she is here visiting this summer!

Hope you have a wonderful birthday Tami! :) Love you so much

Baby shower, Nursery, etc.

I have been waiting to post for a while in order to get pictures of the baby shower my mom and Robin threw for me last week....and before the baby shower my mom, Aunt Donelle and I sewed the nursery bedding for Kamryn. It's all so cute and it's SO fun to see everything coming together! She's gonna be here soon---23 days! :)

BUT I waited so long that now my mom has all the pictures of the baby stuff up! So, go read about it and look at pictures on her blog! :) www.themoegang.blogspot.com

I have another shower this Saturday that I'll be SURE to have pics on MY camera this time (not just my mom's!) :) And I'll post pictures of the "nursery" (baby's corner of our room) once everything is in place! :)

getting anxious but so so so excited! Only 3 and a half weeks! :) yay!

Kelsey!

My sister, Kelsey, has applied for the BYU nursing program THREE times now and she found out yesterday that she FINALLY made it in!!! YAY! We have all been just baffled as to why it took so long for her to get in because she is a GREAT student, she's been a CNA for 3 years and working on the job full time, and now works at the 3 IHC hospitals between AF and Provo!
We're so proud of her!

(This isn't the greatest picture but it was right after she found out and was calling Dad on the phone!)

Anniversaries, Pedicures, work!

So last week I posted about it being our 11-month anniversary and that day Ryan came home from work and asked "Do you want a useful or not useful gift first?!" I was somewhat confused--but said "Not useful, I guess." He then presented me with a small stemmed pink rose! I was very excited. It smelled so yummy and was just very unexpected! Then I asked what he would've done if I said I wanted something useful--he then brought out another deck of Killer Bunnies! (One of our favorite card games right now). Not really my idea of "useful" but I guess we still have the game and the flower already died...so in a way he was right! :)
I have such a wonderful husband, who just takes care of me whenever I need it! He is going to be a wonderful daddy! I can't wait! :)

Ryan has been very busy working as a consultant this summer. He is building a website database for the company he worked for last summer and he is finding that he is LOVING it! Graphic designing and web page creations are his passions lately. And our living room has turned into an office as well! (With two monitors and everything!) He is actually getting very good at photoshop, and it's fun to see the different things he has created already! hopefully after he learns it, he'll teach me more and more so I can get digital scrapbooking going! :)

Our apartment complex is wonderful! We love it here. It is a wonderful ward and I love working in the office for the complex. It is a fun and uplifting environment. One of the amenities we get by living here is a free manicure, pedicure, or haircut every month! I realized last week, that we have lived here for almost 2 months now and I have not taken advantage of this amenity at all yet!! So, today I got a pedicure! It was so fun --- and it was free! :) Even better.

It's comforting to know my feet can feel "fancy and pretty" while the rest of me only fits into 5 outfits anymore! :)

Doctor's Visits

This week we had another enjoyable doctor's appointment. (Can that sentence be true?!) :) jk

It actually went well and I'm glad to report all is well with the baby. She is actively kicking all the time now--making me somewhat sore--but it's all worth it to me so that I know that she is alive and well in there. As they were measuring me and her, the doctor told us we are going to have a larger than average sized baby! Average in America is about 7 lbs 3 oz or so (as I've been told) so we'll see. My first two thoughts were: 1) well then, maybe she could come earlier!! (but the doctor turned that one down really fast! Weight apparently doesn't have much to do with how fast my body is ready for labor. Dang!) and 2) That doesn't sound very comfortable. I'm a small person and even a small baby won't have much room in me! What a fun 2 months I have to look forward to until she comes! :)

But even with this news, we are happy because she is healthy and we are just excitedly waiting for her to be ready to come!
