Last few days in Ohio

We went to Golden Corral on our last day in Ohio.
Playing at Great Grandma and Grandpa's house.

You'd think she'd be sick of the car---but no! She wants to PLAY in it! :)
Playing with the Ipod in her seat at the table.  Don't you love the dangling feet!?! :)
Playing with the pool table with Great Grandma!

Family is what it is all about

And Family is what our vacation is all about!

We drove those 30 hours and 1800 miles to come to visit Ryan's grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  And it has been totally worth it!  Lots of time with family and lots of memories being made!

Saturday we had the Annual Memorial Day Weekend picnic at Uncle Larry's cabin.  (Very pretty country...little too far away from civilization for me to live but I'm glad it works for them so we can come enjoy it every so often!) :)

Kamryn and Daddy went on a small "hike" on the back trail with Grandma and Grandpa.  Grandpa showed Kamryn how to throw rocks in the water.

Walking with daddy on the trail
And when it is nap time: summon Grandpa: "the baby whisperer"!

Dear Zoo

We went to the zoo to look for a pet.

We found some flamingos.

They were too sleepy---we looked some more.

We found some Kangaroos

They were boring (you'd assume they'd be jumpy...but no!)--we looked some more!

We found a snake.

He was slimy--ewww--we looked some more.

We found some elephants
They were too big--we looked some more.

We found some birds
They were too fast--we looked some more.

We found manatees
They were too big and "swimmy" -- we looked some more.

We found some penguins
they were too still (even the real ones) -- we looked some more.
We found some monkeys

They were too crazy -- we looked some more.

We found some gorillas

They looked too sad -- we looked some more.

We found some fish

they needed water--we didn't have any-- we looked some more.

So we sat and thought very hard...
 (even Kyler in his sling)

And Grandma decided to find us a turtle!

He was perfect---we kept him!
